Crash - Movie anaylsis
- Car crash - LEPD women officer takes the mick out of chinese women and the way in which she pronounces certain words such as 'brake' as the chinese women is blaming the officer for causing the crash
- Another scene occurs where a man and his daughter are buying a gun - the owner is confronted by the man as he feels he is being treated disrespectfully - "I aman american citizen i can speak english"
-- These two scenes show the use of discrimnation against people who are not the steorotype of what is known to be "american"
- Two black males who walk out of a shop that they have been eating in are complaining about being racial discrimanated as the waitress(also black) felt uncomfortable at the fact she felt they were not going to pay - seen as being untrustworthy.
- They talk about the idea that they can be seen as UCLA students but are treated as though they are victims of an offence.
- White male and female couple are talking whilst the walk past the black males the women grabs her husbands arm. One of the black males feels it is not appriorate for people to act this way as they are judged by 'steorotype'.
- The two black males end up as self fulfilling prophcies as they bring out their guns and steal the white male and females big car.
- At the white male and females house they are getting their house locks changed as they are worried that they are under threat, the wife confronts her husband about the appearance of the man who is changing the locks - "you need to change the locks again" - as she feels uncomfortable with a black man with tattoos and a shaved head - (steorotype) is changing their locks "sell our keys to one of her gang bang friends and they will come into our home".
-White police officer calls the doctors(help for his father) he needs help and is very angry he asks to speak to the womens boss as she says "she is her own boss" he asks for her name - "shenqua" the police officer straight away uses a steorotype of the name and quotes "thats a fucking suprise" - argued to be a typical black name.
-The same white police officer and his police partner - have got a report on the stolen car by two black males as they get the report the officer follows another car which looks the same as his partner confronts him and tell him it is the wrong car he still continues to follow the vehicle - he stops a black couple and already assumes they are doing wrong. They are told to keep their hands where they are and not to move. Officer makes the black man get out of the car and immediatly assumes it is to do with drink driving and explains how he doesnt drink whilst his wife says "he is a buddist for gods sake".
- As the women gets out of the car the officers tells her too go back inside she is then told to stand against the car as the officer asks her if she has any knifes or weapons although she is wearing a cocktail dress (white officer following a steorotype). He touches up the black women in an inappriorate way infront of her husband and asks the black man to apologies although they have done nothing wrong.
- The black man apologies for nothing he has done but feels as though he has too otherwise he would be arrested. - the wife is disgusted and feels humilated.
- The father who brought the gun - shop door broken.
-When the black couple reach home wife tries to call a lawyer and ends up in an argument with her husband about how ashamed she was and how he is too worried about impressing his white friends - they argue about who is more "black" - wife says "the closest you have been to becoming black is watching the cosby show" (he does not know how black people should act) and he feels the same about his wife " atleast it is not with the whole aqustrin team" - (as they are a rich black couple they feel they have not had the typical black upbringing that is seen through steorotypes)
- The lock changers daughter is underneath her bed as she is scared she heard gun shots, (a young girl living in a steorotypical area knowing what gun shots should sound like) - however he reassures her they live in a good neighbour hood now unlike previously -(lower class living in a scarey neighbourhood - crime) - as they previously lived in a house where a bullet went through the window.
- He gives the little girl an invisiable cloock and explains how it is bullet proof
being inpentiable (nothing will hurt her)
(not based on everyday life - bad neighbourhood where children no about guns and crime)
-(RAP MUSIC) - playing from two black males car that they stole - they have a conversation about how hip hop is different now from before - "nigger this and nigger that" "not hunkey"
-Talk about hip hop coming from the 60s and started with articulate men and blame the FBI for bad music.
(Music uses the wrong termnology and creates a bad image on black people)
- Run over chinese man - "china man" - call him a china man which can be steorotyped as "black slang", as they help the chinese man from under the car they leave him in the street and drive away.
(Not helping the chinese man as they have commited an offence - )
- Head officer(black man) - police partner asks to change partner but the head officer asks for an explanation as he head officer says "isit because his a racist prick" and the partner does not say this is the reason but just that he does not like him.
(Maybe helping same racial background or does not want to cause a scene - as it involves the racial incident)
- Head officer tells the police partner "how hard it is for a black man to get to the top of a racist fucking organisation like the LAPD " - this shows that even big organisations are also racist and many black people are steorotyped making it difficult for them to be upper/middle class.
-Lock man fixes door (man who brought the gun) - although there is a problem with the door and he tries to explain to the man it needs changing the man who is not very good at english gets confused and tells him to buy the new door. He calls the black man a "cheater" and starts shouting the black man tells him not to pay and leaves.
(The man is very angry and the black man does not live up to the steorotype)
-Black males who steal the cars - sell it on to a white trades man (Gives money for the stolen cars)
- The white man explains how the car needs to be burnt as they messed up by having blood on the vehicle
(not able to be paid for the job of stealing a car - shows that black males although feeling racial discrimnated work for a white man - higher up then them)
-Head officer speaks to his mother on the phone and she continues to shout telling him to find his brother - "mum im having sex with a white women" and puts the phone down
- the women thinks he was rude to his mum and thinks he needs to learn some manners
- the head officers excuse was that he did not have a good enough up bringing (making that the cause of the problem)
- Speaks about how she is not white and tells him the areas which her family are from - (not mexican) - assumes she is white or mexican because of her skin colour.
- Man with gun - shop gets trashed / everything is ruined.
-MOFAT(one of two black males -stole car) - " the only reason black people steal from their own is because there scared of white people" - meaning that black people have to steal from the white to show that they are not scared for feel as an underclass from white people.
-As they walk through the neighbourhood - they talk about the view that they are setting a good example for the neighbourhood with the work that they do. (they are argued to be put at a higher status if they steal cars and do more crime)
- As one of the black males puts his hand out for a bus his friend stops him as he tells him they make the great big windows to humilate coloured people so people can see that they are not rich enough to have vehicles -lower class)
- (Rich black coupl - Husband is a director for movie making, as he feels the scene is fine how it is he asks to take a short break - a white male which is in a lower position to the director ask him to change it as he does not speak "black enough" and asks if he is seeing a speech coach - saying he knows its weird for a white man to say.
(SAYS : DO NOT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT, INSTEAD OF: DONT BE TALKING LIKE THAT)
- He asks if there is a problem and that the character brings false to the movie.
- The black male feels over powered and asks to do one more take.
-Police officer (touched black female - mr.ryan)
- Goesto the doctors to go and see shenqua and she still explains that there is nothing that they can do.
-"I cant not thinkabout the 5 or 6 white men who could have your job" - racial comment about how she is lucky to have such a high class job.
-Mr.Ryan - Explains how his father employed the black people and at that time were the only black people that got the same wage. - (shows that his father is not racist - and that he helped black people as they were not allowed the same jobs as white people)
- Shenqua does not blame the father but people like mr.ryan and does not help him - (shows that the black woman has more power and has the power to downgrade a white man and tell him to leave the building with security)
- (man who brought the gun) - Called the locks people to get in contact with the black male who made his locks he argued that he needed his name which was not given, the people wrote on the store walls "they think we are arab, when persian become arab" - showing that people are given a labeled name and not seen to have different cultures.
-Head officer visits mother - not found brother - mothers ill
-When black director finishes for the day wife comes to speak to him about the humliation she felt and the fact he lost his diginity to a white police officer.

BAMBOOZLED -Media Analysis
Bamboozled (Directed by Spike Lee)
- Bamboozled focuses on how the media stereotype black people. In the 2oth century black people were seen to be abused by the media as being stupid and poor (stereotype). The movie is about a TV producer and his assistant worker who are the only black people within the industry. The producers was trying to find a way in which he could get fired, by doing so he created a contemporary minstrel show, in the earlier centuries shows consisted of white people with painted black faces which represented black people within the shows. Spike Lee showed a modern version by using ''black people with blacker faces'' - having shown two actors as poor black men (man ray and Womack) as making ''fools'' of themselves with blacker faces. (the words the producers used - "black people are not wanted to be seen on television unless they act like ''buffoons''.)
- The producers white boss was married to a black women and had two mixed race children - having this background as a white man he felt that using words such as ''nigger'' was ok. He felt that he was ''more black'' then [Damon Wayans] the producer, he had large images all over his room of successful black people and was argued to use a more appropriate stereotype of the way black people speak.

POSTER ANALYSIS
BAMBOOZLED
Bamboozled was created in 2001 and is set in contemporary society, the movie has got posters which advertise the movie but are shown in a different way, there are two different posters created at different times and may have been changed due to viewing statistics.
The first poster uses bright colours and is very bold and exaggerated, there is a very dark coloured baby presented in the poster (not how usually a black person looks) the baby is also eating a watermelon which connotes the stereotype of black people loving watermelons. The babies face has white shading within it which maybe reflecting of the background which can be argued to be the sun as it is a big yellow circle. The babies face has big red lips and dark features making only the mouth and eyes stand out a lot, also the baby is not wearing any shoes which can connote poverty and economical problems that black people may be stereotyped to have. The poster also shows it is a girl as the baby is wearing a bow in its hair and is standing in a cotton field which also relates back to the slavery times of the jobs which were done by the black people. The theme used is like a circus theme as the images and texts used shows this having bright colours and a layout which is related. The poster has got specific wording as at the top it has ''STARRING NEGROES ACTORS'' showing the idea that they are involved and it can be argued to be a big deal for the show as it seems (although set in 2001 it looks like an old movie poster). Having used the word ''Negroes'' it also relates back to the civil rights in the 60's when they were named this and is a less racial term. Having also included the credits and the director/producer connotes it is a movie and the poster is created for this purpose. Having used bold colours and titles has helped to attract the audience - the title being BIG and BOLD in red.
The second poster has the same theme and relates the first poster as the circus theme and the big yellow background is still related, however this seems much more realistic and i feel that this poster came out after the first one because of the characters used although they are still shown darker as usual they are shown as a proper image of humans and not as a cartoon like (as shown in the first poster) the use of the cotton fields still exist and the emphasis on the slavery times and the jobs done are still seen to be a huge part of the representation created. However the faces still have big eyes and huge red lips which are still shown within both the posters that are shown ( this could relate to what people felt was normal to be shown as they feel this is how black people looked although they realistically did not). There are two men in the poster one which is at the front showing white gloves and a suit with a top hat which can connote to the circle theme of a magic act, and the actor has a very strong facial expression also as though it is shock. The man behind him has the uniform of a pool man which was a common job to have in the 1900s, and he is smiling in the background. I feel this is a more powerful image which people are more likely to recognise and relate to and feel that they want to watch a show that shows realistic people and not a cartoon like image of a baby.
BIG MINISTRAL JUBILEE
Another poster we looked at was of a white middle/upper class man with what is known as a 'normal' photo and a dark featured person in a photo next to it which sharp features, this poster is of the white man representing a black man and uses the same representations of the big eyes which are more red and the big red lips as people feel that it is still a realistic image showing black people. Also having the same background as the other posters can show some sort of link to the reasons of why the posters are created in such a way.
BLACULA - 1972
This poster is of a movie about a Black Dracula but is worded in a way to relate both of these words together. The colours of the people are seen to more realistic and are shown to be black people, it shows the audience what the Dracula's target is as there is an image of a ''Blacula'' biting a white women and also other people in the poster which can either be victims or by his side ( this is not stated). The text explains what the Dracula is all about and the reasons for the purposes for why he is doing this. The back of the DVD cover talks about ''CHAINS'' and ''SLAVERY'' which highly relates to the slavery times of black people and does this within describing the story in the movie

Representations -Black Hollywood- Precious
Representations - Precious
Interviews face to face
Showing close ups of mother, Precious and social worker (throughout their is emotion of crying mainly of the mother)
Shows mothers hand when she talks about her caring and loving for her children and not being able to get involved in the abuse and could not stop it this connotes that she is trying to show care and friendliness but also that she is nervous when she talks about it as she is playing with her hands a lot.
Close up of faces to show emotions between all three people within the scene - adding more tension.
As the mother walks away it creates a moment of confusion - she brings the baby and gives it to Precious - connotes that Precious was aloud her child back (like she has won the battle)
By Precious standing up in the scene and her mother sitting on a chair it shows that she has built up the power and strength to stand up to her mother connotes she stands up for her rights.
(MOTHER = RECEIVED AN AWARD FOR BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS - compare with Gone with the wind****)
The last scenes shows the huge building from top to bottom and Precious walking away with her children this connotes freedom and strength - education has given her the power to feel free and made something within her life.
This is also included in the up beat mood created by the music.
Precious
In the movie Precious they mother is being questioned into the abuse of her daughter created throughout the movie, she is questioned by the social worker in her office whilst Precious is also in the scene. The are shown in an interview setting and what the truth is that has been shown throughout the story.
The stereotypes created within the scene shows the idea of black females not having still that much power and are still of a low income background as the movie is set in the 1960s this is shown depending on the time it is created for. ( this however gives a negative stereotyped impact on black people within society.)
The place/location connotes a serious issue which relates to child abuse, showing the seriousness within the movie makes the audience feel more involved and intrigued.
The audience may feel attracted to the movie with this sort of story line but also creates a meaning which many people feel they can relate to, however to many this can be portrayed as disturbing meaning they are unable to watch the film ( this can relate highly to black people but also many others as it is a highly realistic issue for many people.

Critical investigate. 06/10/2010
Research
We had to think about related questions for my critical investigation:
An exploration into moral panics represented in child abuse campaigns, how do the three media platforms overcome this?
CLASS VIEWS.
Extra question: An exploration into how moral panics are created through the representation of child abuse campaigns and in what ways do the three media platforms convey this? are there positives and negative?
Extra questions: An exploration into moral panics created in child abuse and campaigns. Do the three media platforms over come this, and how successful are they doing so?
- The add on to it suggests they may not overcome the moral panics or may only do it partially.
Child abuse
Patriarchy.
Male and female. - who's in power?
- Who abuses the children male domination or females who are in charge
Media theories.
Look into Gaye Tuchman
Hegemonic - Marxist theory
Postmodernism - 18th 19th 20th Century - technology improved dominant power
Media Texts.
Looking through magazines
T.V
Internet and reviews.
S.H.E.P
Social: why do people in society fall for child abuse campaigns? - they don't research, they only assume that their money is going to children who are being abused.
Historical: Child abuse campaigns have been going on for many years, why have they broadened their advertising methods to the other platforms : have they become more explicit? if so why?
PERSONAL REVIEW.
Having done todays lesson of assessing each others work in terms of adding comments, and different ideas has helped me to narrow down my ideas of questions i need to look at which will help me with my research, using the media theories linking to moral panic will help with my research and also looking at my question into more detail.
Having decided to use all three media platforms to help with my critical investigation i feel that i need to look at more websites such as NSPCC and Barnardo's using campaigns which already exist which will help with the process such as leaflets for research and information from news reports. I feel this lesson has really helped and i have enjoyed giving other people help with their work, having assessed many questions i am now able to narrow down a specific root id like to follow.
More research into:
- Stories related
- unacceptable stories
-stories which people appeal to
- children's true stories
-quotes - catch audience attention
- in-depth research into campaigns
- help to focus on best ways to present a campaign
- More theories
- maybe relate marxism or other theories
- More examples of S.H.E.P
- Examples of media text such as movies, news articles.

Research
For the next two weeks i am going to look into more detail at how successful an ad campaign is and what would be needed to make awareness and the correct way to promote it.
i will go to the library and look at books that are related to ad campaigns such as charities also i will find information leaflets on different charities and how they promote there ads.
The main thing i will focus on is the use of the internet and as i am planning to use photography i will look at different ways in which pictures are portrayed in the media as an example and which photos are successful and ones which are not so successful
This is very important to look at as i need to get a full understand of what an ad campaign involves and what makes it successful for people to feel the need to help and make awareness.
I am also going to look into videos that were created for ad campaigns as i may also make one of these just as a short documentary for people to get more of an understanding of what the campaign involves an example is child abuse.
I still need to find a detailed and specific section which i want to look at as i am only looking at the broad outline of what charity ad campaigns involve and different types.
I am planning to use photography and maybe the use of video to create my ad campaign but i need to look into more detail of what would be suitable for the ad.

Ad Campaign -Research So far
This website has helped me to understand the effectiveness needed for an ad campaign and what would make a successful campaign work it talks about target audience and specific images which would be helpful to use and what effects this would have if done so.
http://www.allbusiness.com/marketing/advertising/3983-1.html
Also by doing research into ad campaigns which would be approved for viewing and which were not allowed due to certain reasons, looking at different websites to see which were approved helped me to understand what pictures i would need to make a suitable campaign but at the same time a meaningful ad.

By researching a real charity ad campaign related to many different issues such as BARNARDOS, NSPCC and RSPCA helped me understand what was needed to make people aware of a successful ad campaign

Marxist and The Media 8/9/10
Today in lesson we discussed the Marxist theory, starting off with the ideas of whether the public are controlled not by fear or force but through ideas - the ideas that we came up were that we are not controlled in our society and that 'ideas' do control us which concluded that this quote may well be true. The 'ideas' can come from things such as religion or belief as examples.
But the main view through media is the stereotypes which society has, which highly manipulates resulting in fear and causing a moral panic.
We then looked at two other statements which referred to how certain aspects such as food we eat and what we look like etc are decided by people in society we found that there can be two meanings to this statement society in the sense of government and the public, in terms of the government the money income earned in certain families does determine what we buy such as products ( people usually resulting in buying the latest thing to look good an example being new trainers) and in terms of public a prime example being celebrities that are shown in the media and how they are portrayed, as magazines show this a lot which attracts peoples attention. A class example we came up with was religion being a main issue as some people are controlled in society by what they eat for example Muslims can not eat pork.
The other statement we looked at was about not having choice in society and everything has been decided for us but we have a minority view for the choice a key example was from cinemas- the idea that only selected films are chosen for viewing meaning we have limited choice and also the ideas of advertising being sold to us meaning that people are seen to want the latest thing as it portrays that everyone must have one.
We then talked about Karl Marx and his idea of the Marxist theory. The theories basic assumption is that the media is linked to the economic base of society known as capitalism. This is linked to media as people believe that major media companies use control over production to maintain their status quo (balance in society) (just as society is seen as ruling class exploiting the working class which keeps their status quo also). This also meaning that the media have more power over ideological messages as they are given more privileged positions than other viewpoints. (T.V shows with big viewing stats are more dominated)
The matrix being a good example –
There is a battle between the body and soul as Matrix puts it ‘‘the body being a prison for the mind or freeing the mind and allowing it to control the body’’ This links to Marxism in a way of saying that the body follows what society is told to do rather then the mind telling them how to react and be treated within society.-As the quote says.
When Morpheus asks Neo which pill he would choose this shows the choice being given to him meaning that if he chose the red pill you wake up to reality and embrace responsibilities that comes with it and if he chose the blue pill he would go back to sleep. Each and everyone of us have a choice of freedom, so do we chose to embrace ourselves by taking the red pill or choosing the blue pill and go back to sleep as an example. This links to choice within society and whether people allow themselves to follow what society is being presented as or to take responsibility of what is actually happening in society (ruling class taking over).
Another view that we learnt today is by Gramsci and the idea of Hegemony (1991 - 1937) this idea is linked to the ruling class as seen to having more economic power meaning they were the most dominant ideology in society making it become a naturalised aspect of how society should be organised and seen. This meaning that hegemonic control was seen as ideological control and that the public accept ideas through socialisation.
In other words it is seen as the concept of the Ruling Classes (the Bourgeoisie) values being imposed upon the population is known as hegemony. This set of values, according to Marxist theory, is actually forced upon people and what they believe they are agreeing to as a result of their own beliefs is in reality in the interest of the ruling class. As a class we analysed this theory was the same as the quote suggesting meaning that we do not have freedom to act and that we are controlled by certain things in life.
Reality Television and Marxism
The installation of video cameras capturing every moment of life in the Big Brother house has obvious parallels with the spread of CCTV through the public spaces of the contemporary world.36 Another major issue of concern for academic analysis is the political implications of the fact that Big Brother commands a large, enthusiastic and largely young audience who pay to vote in considerable numbers. There are serious analyses claiming that shows like this can provide a model for the regeneration of bourgeois politics.37
From a Marxist perspective these issues, while interesting, miss the point about what kind of social relations are embodied in the show and what that helps us understand about the nature of contemporary capitalism. Producers and broadcasters are engaged in producing a marketable commodity, but to get the attention of the audience (and so sell it to the advertisers) they have to produce something that resonates with their intended audience and they have to recruit suitable participants.

Ideas for CI
I have been thinking around the basis of photography and what would be a good theme to advertise, my main ideas were make up and how they are advertised differently in western society to others. But i have a few more ideas were it would be possible to have a link production with another person having a different critical investigation based on photography and the influences of for example martial arts linked to how make up is used.
i need to prepare more and think of more a specific idea.

Media Magazine - issue 5
Interview with Stephen Lambert (director of programs) for RDF media group which is the only TV company featured in The sunday times and the makers of programs such as wife swap. Mike hobbs interviewed him, the interview explains how he got into the television industry, i enjoyed this interview has it shows that although Lambert went and focused on specific area in television he later discovered new work that he enjoyed and not just focusing on one area of topic. Also he talks of the ideas of technology having effect on the way television is viewed and how there are good or bad points of the use of technology. I looked at the use of an interview as a way of helping me produce some ideas for my work over summer and my A2 project as i feel it would help to choose a method in which i can analyse data and view peoples opinions and get information in different formats.
I also looked at the use of why we should study digital games such as games in the past present and the future and whether they are a good way to learn and explains how over time it has changed and the different formats digital games have used, different machines played in and even different contexts. Also the use of using evidence from psychologists was very interesting by Freud to see the way child improvising a game and giving information on this can help with data for example whether a game is good or bad for a child as they later go into detail about and how this has an effect on the child in educational terms as well as social life. By scientists recording the way people play and the cultural contexts of particular sports.
I also liked the use of statistics and how the popularity of games have been valued throughout the world making it universal and explaining how although all these people are involved it does not mean that digital media is highly respected. The idea of who is studying games and whether they are good or bad was interesting to know were linked to the people who play the specific game; so mainly questioning what are these games and who plays them?
Another piece of data i analysed was the article on hot radio i found this very interesting as it talks of the use of modern day radio and the ideas of how people now dont always talk of just music and celebrities but also the use of culture and value for example the ideas of '' they love eminem, Madonna and Britney spears. The young people of Iraq arent that different from you'' this allows people to listen to the radio mainly relating to a teenage audience and explaing how there is more behind music and the use of this, i find this article interesting because it always people to observe things differently and shows that not everything is shown in one set context giving a wide range of information. This also goes on to talk of the same uses in comedy entertainment and radio dramas (just a few examples)
I wanted to analyse the data of a person who did work experience with a Tornado productions allowing him to assess the set and it gives people tips in the article of how people can be successful which i found is very helpful and eye catching to allow people to assess others and follow the way they feel and their acheivements

CRITICAL INVESTIGATION
My main focus for my critical investigation is a huge issue in modern society. The concern is teenage crime in general, this relates to many issues such as gun crime, knife crime and teenage murder such as death by dangerous driving within the UK.
As part of my critical investigation this will include examples of teenage crime and statements which shows the behavior of teenagers and whether this has an impact on the related audience.
Primary sources:
Primary source is a document or physical object which was written or created during the time under study. These sources were present during an experience or time period and offer an inside view of a particular event. Some types of primary sources include:
• ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS (excerpts or translations acceptable): Diaries, speeches, manuscripts, letters, interviews, news film footage, autobiographies, official records
• CREATIVE WORKS: Poetry, drama, novels, music, art
• RELICS OR ARTIFACTS: Pottery, furniture, clothing, buildings
Kidult hood: This British drama follows a day in the lives of four poor youths living in an impoverished neighborhood in West London, where the pressure and desperation of poverty propels each of them towards the choice between a life of bleakness, violence, and crime, and the terrifying prospect of striving for a better life (associated with suicide, drugs, gun and knife crime)
Also including the sequel of adulthood, this relates to teenage crime and how they are portrayed in modern society, with all the violence within school and outside of school.
Secondary sources:
A secondary source interprets and analyzes primary sources. These sources are one or more steps removed from the event. Secondary sources may have pictures, quotes or graphics of primary sources in them. Some types of seconday sources include:
• PUBLICATIONS: Textbooks, magazine articles, histories, criticisms, commentaries, encyclopedias
A teenage driver who ran over two sisters who were also his cousins as they walked home from school was today jailed for four years.
Nathan Hennessey, 19, instantly killed 11-year-old Megan Hennessey and left her 16-year-old sister Sophie in a coma with life-threatening injuries when he hit them with his car as they were crossing the road.
The crash happened as the sisters made their way home from school in Thorne, South Yorkshire, on November 27, 2008.
Hennessey's driving was branded "aggressive" by Judge Peter Jones as he handed him the custodial sentence at Sheffield Crown Court.
The court heard how Hennessey originally denied a charge of death by dangerous driving but changed his plea to a guilty one just before going on trial at Don Caster Crown Court.
